Abstract (english) The main aim of this master thesis is to describe in more detail the specific conditions that Croatian competitors, coaches and teachers in alpine skiing face. Each of the competitive disciplines is special in its own way, and that is exactly what defines an individual skier. Croatia is a country with a rich tradition of alpine skiing, but despite many financial shortcomings and political reasons, not enough money is invested in alpine skiing. If we look at the more economically developed countries whose geographical location does not allow the development of natural ski resorts, in them the ski resorts indoors come to the fore. They help a lot with the preparation period of skiers. Croatian coaches found some complementary contents such as inline alpine, that is rollerblading, in order to simulate skiing on a snowy slope in the preparation period. Due to the lack of financial resources, skiers in the Republic of Croatia finance their own trips, which indicates that competitive skiing is not available to the general population. Also, each of the competitors stays apart from their parents at the earliest age for a minimum of 100 days a year, while in later categories the number exceeds 200 days. When staying outside the borders of their home country, their coaches play a big role in their upbringing and education. A large percentage of coaches have a master's degree in kinesiology, who, in addition to coaching, participate in the education of young skiers. As most of the competitors become after finishing ski school, ski teachers are people who help in the selection of children at the earliest age. Ski teachers are the most competent people who stay with the youngest children for a week at the ski centers Sljeme and Platak and try not only to teach children to ski, but also to educate them about the rules of conduct on ski terrains.
