The aim of this research was to determine the influence of environmental factors on the motor skills of pre-school children. A sample of respondents included 259 preschool children (boys and girls), included in the kindergarten program, aged 4-7 years in the area of the City of Zagreb. The research was conducted in kindergartens in the City of Zagreb and was divided into two parts. In the first part, parents completed a survey questionnaire, and in the second part, measurements of the motor skills and abilities of pre-school children were performed. Prior to the task itself, the teacher gave each child a clear instruction (verbal and demonstration) to properly perform the assignment. After that, the children carried out the tasks one by one. The survey questionnaire consisted of questions of sociodemographic character. Measurement of motor skills of preschool children was performed using the BOT2 test kit (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency 2). A shortened version of the BOT-2 battery test was used, which consists of 14 separate tests. The results obtained show that the size of the housing space affects the physical activity of children, but also indicate that the yard, monthly household income and parent education do not affect their physical activity.
