Abstract | Prehrana sportaša ima značajan utjecaj kod njihovih rezultata pa tako i kod parasportaša. Mnoga istraživanja utvrdila su da prehrana utječe na zdravlje, sastav tijela, i masu te energetsku zastupljenost za vrijeme aktivnosti, oporavka i izvedbe. Parasport je sport koji se odnosi na sve osobe s invaliditetom koji uključuju tjelesne i intelektualne nedostatke, a možemo ga promatrati kroz četiri kategorije: fizički, mentalni, trajni i privremeni.
Cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrđivanje znanja trenera parasportaša o pravilnoj prehrani. Uzorak ispitanika sastavljen je od hrvatskih trenera parasportaša (N=21). Znanje trenera o prehrani parasportaša utvrđeno je anonimnim anketnim upitnikom koji je bio sastavljen tako da utvrdi znanje trenera o prehrani općenito, o sastojcima neophodnim da bi parasportaši osigurali dovoljno energije za trening i natjecanja, o dodacima prehrani, o obrocima prije treninga i natjecanja, kao i tijekom oporavka te o važnosti tekućine za vrijeme treninga i natjecanja. Dobiveni podaci su obrađeni pomoću statističkog programa STATISTICA.
Analizom rezultata u cjelini, vidljivo je da su treneri (N=21) postigli 291 točan odgovor od ukupno 462, što čini 63% točnih odgovora na postavljena pitanja. Bitno je napomenuti da 47% trenera ima završenu srednju školu, isto toliko (47%) ima završen visoki stupanj obrazovanja, dok samo jedan trener (6%) ima višu razinu obrazovanja. Četiri trenera su diplomirala na kineziološkom fakultetu (19%), a 57% trenera je starije od 35 godina.
Edukacija o prehrani obuhvaća znatno više od jednostavnog prenošenja informacija o hrani i prehrani na najprivlačniji i najefikasniji način. Edukacija trenera pomaže svim sudionicima u sportu da razumiju dublje veze između prehrane i zdravlja te da pruži točne informacije o tome koje namirnice treba preferirati za optimalno zdravlje parasportaša. Tako možemo zaključiti da bi u svaki sport odnosno sportsku aktivnost osim trenera s potrebnim znanjem o prehrani bilo potrebno uključiti i nutricioniste koji bi bili ključni članovi sportskog tima te bi se time osigurala pravilna i točno informirana podrška sportašima u području prehrane. |
Abstract (english) | The nutrition of athletes has a significant impact on their results, as well as on para-athletes. Many studies have established that nutrition affects health, body composition, weight and energy level during activity, recovery and performance. Parasport is a sport created for people with disabilities that include physical and intellectual disabilities, and it is divided into four categories: physical, mental, permanent and temporary.
The purpose of this research is to determine the knowledge of para- athlete coaches about proper nutrition. Sample respondents were composed of Croatian para-athlete coaches (N=21). Trainer׳s knowledge about nutrition of para-athletes was determined by an anonymous survey questionnaire that was designed to determine the trainer׳s knowledge of nutrition in general, of the ingredients necessary for para-athletes to provide enough energy for training and competitions, about nutritional supplements, about meals before training and competitions, as well as during recovery and about the importance of fluids during training and competitions. The obtained data were processed by using a statistical program STATISTICA.
When we analyze whole results together, it is evident that the coaches (N=21) scored 291 correct a total of 462 answers, which is 63% of the correct answers to the asked questions. It is important to say that 47% of coaches have completed high school, the same number (47%) have completed college, while only one coach (6%) has a high level of education. There are four coaches that graduated from the Faculty of Kinesiology (19%), and 57% of them are over 35 years old.
Education about nutrition encompasses much more than simply conveying information about food and nutrition in the most attractive and effective way. It aims to help people understand the deeper connections between diet and health, and to provide key information on which foods to choose for optimal health. Therefore, it can be concluded that sports nutritionists should be key members of the coaching team to ensure proper and informed support in the field of nutrition. |
