Abstract
Istraživanje je provedeno s ciljem utvrđivanja razlike u pred-natjecateljskoj anksioznosti između grupa mladih vaterpolista različite kvalitete. Na uzorku od 109 mladih vaterpolista, dobi 15,02±0,79 godina. Korišten je upitnik stanja anksioznosti (CSAI-2 Competitive Anxiety in Sport Inventory). Upitnik mjeri tri dimenzije (somatska anksioznost, kognitivna anksioznost, samopouzdanje). Niti jedna varijabla nije pokazala značajne razlike među grupama, osim kognitivne anksioznosti koja je numerički blizu značajne razlike, ali je ipak nema (MWU, p=0.08). Iako je bilo za očekivati da će stanje anksioznosti biti značajno bolje kod kvalitetnijih vaterpolista to se nije dogodilo. Možemo pretpostaviti da je razlog tome činjenica da su izmjereni nakon trećeg kola kada su znali koji im je sljedeći protivnik. To je dovelo ispitanike u neravnopravan položaj, neke je čekao jak, a neke slabiji protivnik.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this research was to identify the differences in pre-competitive anxiety among the groups of young water polo players of different qualities. On a sample of 109 young water polo players aged 15.02 ± 0.79 years. The questionnaire state anxiety (CSAI-2 Competing Anxiety in Sport Inventory) was used. The questionnaire measures three dimensions (somatic anxiety, cognitive anxiety, self-confidence). None of the variables showed significant differences between the groups, except cognitive anxiety that is numerically close to significant differences, but nevertheless (MWU, p = 0.08). Though it was expected that the anxiety state would be significantly better with better water polo players than it did not happen. We can assume that the reason is that they were measured after the third game of group phase when they knew who will be their next opponent. That is lead the examinees to an uneven position, some were waiting for a strong and weaker opponent.
