Plantar fascia is a dense aponeurosis that supports the longitudinal arch of the foot and protects sensitive structures such as muscles, tendons and nerves. Plantar fasciitis is most commonly caused by recurrent trauma in which the legs are constantly burdened or due to degenerative changes occurring in the form of motor symptoms. Plantar fasciitis occurs as a pain in the heel, and because of that characteristic it was named "painful heel". A large number of people of all ages and both sexes have a diagnosed plantar fascitis which has an individual cause of occurrence, most often due to the specificity of the sport they deal with, while the other experience this kind of pain because of the nature of their work. In the inflammatory conditions of plantar fasciitis, it is essential to set the treatment at early stages and stop the progression of the pain, as delayed treatment limits the effect of the treatment.
