Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Research indicates that MS is a disease caused by environmental factors, but also by the influence of genetic predispositions. The disease is more common with Caucasians, its prevalence is growing in areas inhabited by white people. Women get sick more often than men. Symptoms can be very pronounced or clinically unrecognizable. In most patients with multiple sclerosis the symptoms may occur periodically, and as the disease progresses, their severity and duration may change. The symptoms are quite varying and changing. The aim of this final paper is to present and describe multiple sclerosis, its causes, symptoms, treatment methods and kinesitherapy procedures to improve the quality of life of people with multiple sclerosis. The treatment of the kinesitherapy procedure should be adapted to each patient individually and must predict the patient's needs. The patient needs to be taught how to properly apply certain exercises to improve their motor function and emotional state. The goal is to achieve the maximum in relation to the current condition, to relieve the patient's daily life and with exercise restore the self-confidence and prevent the patient from feeling less valuable.
