Abstract
Ovaj rad obrađuje pitanje rodnih stereotipa društvu i njihovo odražavanje u medijima te njihov utjecaj na percepciju žena koje su za svoju profesiju odabrale politiku, kao stereotipno muški posao. Utjecaj medija sve je veći te možemo reći da su upravo mediji ti kroz čije okvire često promatramo svijet. Kako je politika javna služba, profesija izložena javnosti, rad prati sam nastanak društvenih konstrukcija roda, mjesto žene u medijskom prostoru općenito te način na koji mediji javno portretiraju žene koje se odluče na taj posao. Pomaci za koje su se žene u politici izborile u prethodnom stoljeću zaista su veliki, stoga u radu iznosimo i situaciju u Republici Hrvatskoj od njezina osnutka sve do ove, tekuće godine. Imajuću u vidu rodno uokviravanje kao čestu medijsku praksu, za potrebe rada provedeno je istraživanje koje prati pojavnost istog tijekom obnašanja najviših političkih dužnosti od strane pripadnica ženskog spola.
Abstract (english)
The theme of this work is to study gender stereotypes in the society, to show and explain how they reflect through media and how women in politics are presented. This work focuses on the question of gender stereotypes in society, its reflection in the media, and its influence on perception of women who have chosen politics for their profession as majority male preoccupation. The influence of the media is getting more and more important and we can say that they create our image of the world. As politics is a public service, profession exposed to the publics, this work follows the beginning of social construction of gender, and the place of a woman in media and the way media publicly portrait women who decide to take part in politics. The shift, for which women in politics fought in the last century, is very big therefore in this work we present the situation in Croatia from its foundation till today. Bearing in mind gender framing as often media practice, for the needs of this work a research was conducted which follows the appearance of gender framing during holding the highest political duties by members of female gender.
