Uloga medija u današnjem svijetu je toliko velika da iz tog razloga svaka tema koja je povezana s medijima otvara mnoga pitanja od kojih je jedno i pitanje moralnosti odnosno nemoralnosti masmedijskog humanitarizma. Masmediji se danas ubrajaju u primarne čimbenike promjena i suvremenog razvoja kojima svjedočimo svakodnevno, stoga oni imaju veliku ulogu u kreiranju percepcije pojedinca te utječu na moral i društvo.
