Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se fenomenom potrošnje, odnosno procesom stvaranja i razvoja društva koje se danas slobodno može nazvati konzumerističkim. Potreba za nečim novim, boljim i drugačijim dio je čovjekove prirode, a uz pomoć marketinga te su potrebe svoje zadovoljstvo pronašle u stalnoj i neprekidnoj potrošnji. Može li čovjek svoju sreću i zadovoljstvo pronaći u potrošnji, zapostavlja li zbog potrošnje socijalni aspekt života, postaje li sebičan, otuđen i lišen potrebe za sudjelovanjem u javnom životu? To su neka od najvažnijih pitanja koja muče filozofe, sociologe i laike kada je na rasporedu razgovor o vrijednostima konzumerističkog društva. Stavovi su podijeljeni, a jednostavan i cjelovit odgovor ne postoji. Kroz prikaz povijesnih čimbenika koji su utjecali na stvaranje i razvoj konzumerizma, prikaz osnovnih obilježja konzumerističkog društva te analizu antikonzumerističkog diskursa rad će pokušati dati dio odgovora na navedena pitanja.
Abstract (english)
This thesis deals with the phenomenon of consumption, or in other words with the process of creating and developing a society that can now freely be called consumerism. The need for something new, better and different is a part of human nature and with the help of marketing those needs needs have found satisfaction in constant and continuous consumption. Can a man find his happiness and satisfaction in spending, whether he is neglected by the social aspect of spending, becomes selfish, alienated, and deprived of the need to participate in public life? These are some of the most pressing questions of philosophers, sociologists and secularists when discussing the values of the consumer society. Opinions are divided, and a simple and complete answer does not exist. Through the study of historical factors that have influenced the creation and development of consumerism, the presentation of the basic features of the consumer society and the analysis of discourse of anti consumerism, the thesis will try to give a part of the answer to the questions mentioned above.
