Abstract
Ovim se radom želi kristalizirati teorijski korijeni etike u odnosima s javnošću s obzirom na negativni imidž u javnosti. Odnosi s javnošću predstavljaju aktivnosti koje nalaze široku primjenu u svim segmentima života u društvu. Podrazumijevaju usmjerenost organizacije na javnost s ciljem izgradnje pozitivnog imidža. Javnost očekuje istinitu i objektivnu sliku o organizaciji, međutim, imidž same profesije odnosa s javnošću često je nepravedno ocjenjen negativno zbog neprofesionalnog i neetičkog postupanja pojedinaca u okviru struke. Upravo se zato u praksi često postavlja pitanje: Je li etika u odnosima s javnošću oksimoron?
Abstract (english)
This paper seeks to crystallize theoretical plate ethics in public relations in view of the negative public image. Public relations are activities that are widely used in all aspects of life in society. They include targeting organizations in the public in order to build a positive image. The public expects a true and fair view of the organization, however, the image of the profession of public relations is often unfairly judged negatively due to unprofessional and unethical conduct of individuals within the profession. This often raises a question: Is ethics in public relations an oxymoron?
