Abstract
Zaključivanje definiramo kao proces dolaženja do zaključaka na temelju dokaza ili navedenih pretpostavki, dok se razumijevanje definira kao razvijanje shvaćanja za stanje, kontekst ili koncept koje povezujemo s postojećim znanjem. Zaključivanje i razumijevanje imaju bitnu ulogu u nastavi matematike osnovnih i srednjih škola. Jedno od bitnijih zaključivanja je kreativno zaključivanje. Suprotnost kreativnom zaključivanju je imitativno zaključivanje koje učenici najčešće koriste u nastavi matematike. Kako bi učenici naučili pravilno matematički zaključivati i rješavati probleme, nastavnici u svoju nastavu moraju uvesti kreativno zaključivanje i objašnjavanje.
Abstract (english)
Reasoning is defined as the process of drawing conclusions on the basis of evidence or stated assumptions, while sense making is defined as developing understanding of situation, context, or concept which we connect with existing knowledge. Reasoning and sense making play an important role in teaching mathematics throughout the elementary and secondary education. One of the most important types of reasoning is the creative one. The type opposite to the creative reasoning is the imitative reasoning which is most commonly used in learning mathematics. In order for students to learn the correct mathematical reasoning and how to solve problems, the teachers must introduce creative reasoning and explanations in their teaching.
