Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu upoznali smo se s pojedinim primjenama diferencijalnog i integralnog računa u prirodnim znanostima. Na samom početku opisana je teorija diferencijalnog i integralnog računa nakon koje slijedi teorija običnih diferencijalnih jednadžbi. Kroz odabrane primjere povezanosti sile s radom i tlakom te složenog gibanja poput kosog hitca, opisali smo moguće primjene navedenih računa u fizici. Na području biologije opisali smo eksponencijalni i logistički model rasta populacije. Također, na primjerima brzine kemijske reakcije i gradijenta gustoće glukoze proučili smo primjenu i u kemiji. Naposljetku, na području medicine objasnili smo primjere brzine protoka krvi kroz krvnu žilu i volumena koji kroz nju protekne te metodu razrjeđivanja boje kao jednu od glavnih metoda za mjerenje srčanog minutnog volumena.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis we introduced certain applications of differential and integral calculus in natural sciences. In the beginning, theory regarding derivatives and integrals, as well as the concept of ordinary differential equations, were discussed. Through selected examples of the relation of force to work and pressure, and complex motion such as an oblique shot, we described the possible applications of calculus in physics. In the field of biology, we described the exponential and logistic model of population growth. We also studied the application of chemistry through the examples of chemical reaction rate and glucose density gradient. Finally, in the field of medicine, we explained examples of the blood flow rate through the blood vessel as well as the volume that passes through it, and the dye dilution method as one of the main ones for the measurement of cardiac minute volume.
