Abstract
Funkcije su važan dio matematike pa su samim time one važne i u nastavi. Pokazivanjem njihovih primjena u stvarnome životu učenicima olakšavamo njihovo shvaćanje i otkrivamo im njihovu važnost. Iako je matematičko modeliranje ponekad kompleksan proces ono ipak približava učenicima nastavno gradivo. U ovom radu definirano je matematičko modeliranje i matematički model te su navedeni opći pojmovi o funkcijama koje učenici trebaju savladati kako bi se mogli baviti modeliranjem. Također su definirane tri elementarne funkcije na način na koji se učenici s njima susreću u srednjoj školi, a to su polinomi, racionalne i iracionalne funkcije. Učenici se u redovnoj nastavi susreću s primjenama linearne i kvadratne funkcije. Iako primjena polinoma stupnja većeg ili jednakog od 3 nije zastupljena u kurikulumu matematike i udžbenicima za srednje škole, u ovom radu su pomoću matematičkog modeliranja prikazani primjeri iz stvarnog života navedenih funkcija. Oni se mogu učenicima pokazati na dodatnoj nastavi matematike.
Abstract (english)
Functions are an important part of mathematics. So they are also important in class. By showing their applications in real life, we make it easier for students to understand them and reveal their importance. Although mathematical modeling is sometimes complex, it still approaches students as teaching material. Mathematical modeling and mathematical model are defined in this paper. And the general concepts of functions that students need to master and how they can be able to engage in modeling are listed. Three elementary functions define the way students encounter them in high school. They are polynomials, rational and irrational functions. In class, students encounter with applications of linear and quadratic functions. Although the application of polynomials of degree greater or equal to 3 is not represented in the mathematics curriculum and textbooks for secondary schools, in this paper, using mathematical modeling, examples from the real life of the mentioned functions are given. They can be shown to students in additional mathematics classes.
