Abstract (english)
The founding of the School of Medicine, or the Faculty of Medicine, as it is officially called, in Rijeka in 1955, was a milestone in the overall development of education, scholarship and medicine in the city, far transcending any strictly local limits. Indeed, School of Medicine is the oldest and largest member of the University of Rijeka.
