Abstract
Boja se obično opisuje uz pomoć tri pojma; nijansa, svjetlina i zasićenost. Razumijevanje ovih pojmova bitno je u dentalnoj medicini za određivanje točne boje zuba prilikom različitih dentalnih zahvata. Za određivanje boje postoje vizualne tehnike uz pomoć ključa boja i instrumentalne tehnike poput spektrofotometra, spektroradiometra, kolorimetra i digitalnih kamera. Na boju mogu utjecati različita intrinzična i ekstrinzična obojenja. Najčešća su ekstrinzična obojenja hranom, pićem i pušenjem. Obje se vrste obojenja mogu tretirati izbjeljivanjem zuba, ali u različitoj mjeri. Materijali koji se koriste za izbjeljivanje su hidrogen peroksid, karbamid peroksid i natrijev perborat. Mogu se koristiti za vanjsko i unutarnje izbjeljivanje u različitim oblicima od običnih pasti za izbjeljivanje do preparata za profesionalnu uporabu. Svaki od tih preparata treba koristiti s oprezom i biti svjestan ograničenosti rezultata i pojavnosti nuspojava.
Abstract (english)
Color is usually described by using three terms; hue, value and chroma. Understanding of these terms is essential for proper shade matching in dental procedures. There are multiple shade matching techniques which include visual techniques using shade guides and instrumental techniques like spectrophotometers, spectroradiometers, colorimeters and digital cameras. Different intrinsic and extrinsic stains can considerably influence tooth color. Extrinsic stains by food, beverages and smoking are the ones most often mentioned. Those kinds of stains can easily be treated with whitening. Materials used for teeth whitening are hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide and sodium perborate. They can be used for external and internal whitening in a variety of forms ranging from regular whitening toothpastes to materials for professional use. It is advised to use each of these materials and techniques with caution, and be aware of its limits and adverse effects.
