Abstract
Cilj istraživanja je bio procijeniti stupanj deformacije stijenke korijenskog kanala za vrijeme instrumentacije step- back tehnikom. Rabljeno je deset ekstrahiranih jednokorjenskih zubi koji su dekoronirani, a potom instrumentirani step- back tehnikom te irigirani 2,5% natrij hipokloritom i 17% EDTA-om. Tako pripremljeni zubi fiksirani su u kalupe od prozirnog autoakrilata. Preparati dijamantnom brusnom pločom nakon čega je provedena njihova mikroskopska analiza i fotografiranje te statistička obrada dobivenih podataka u SPSS 7.0 (SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA) kompjutorskom programu. Najmanje odstupanje od originalne morfologije korijenskog kanala pokazalo se u apeksnoj trećini (18,45%), u cervikalnoj trećini odstupanje je iznosilo 40,25% ,a u srednjoj trećini 32,83%.
