Abstract
Uvod: CT-om voĎena transtorakalna biopsija je metoda kojom se dijagnosticiraju sumnjive promjene pleure, medijastinuma i pluća. Ova dijagnostička metoda ima sve veću učestalost u primjeni zbog visoke dijagnostičke točnosti i rijetko pristunih komplikacija. Najčešća postavljena dijagnoza pleuralne lezije je maligni mezoteliom pleure. Najčešća komplikacija transtorakalne biopsije voĎene CT-om je pneumotoraks. Ispitanici i metode: Retrospektivna studija provedena je na Kliničkom zavodu za radiologiju Kliničkog bolničkog centra Rijeka u periodu od siječnja 2007.do siječnja 2019. godine. Tijekom istraţivanja, 105 pacijenata je podvrgnuto CT-om voĎenoj TTB-i s prethodnom sumnjom na postojanje pleuralne lezije. Rezultati: U istraţivanju je 105 ispitanika podvrgnutih transtorakalnoj biopsiji. Prosječna dob ispitanika je 58.5 godina jednaka je medijanu godina. Učestalost pojave malignih bolesti pleure četverostruko je veća meĎu muškarcima. Osjetljivost promatrane metode je 93.42%. Citološkom i patohistološkom analizom dobivenih uzoraka biopsije učestalost malignog pleuralnog mesotelioma iznosi 48.57%. Tijekom studije nije zabiljeţeno javjanje komplikacija.
Abstract (english)
Introduction: CT-guided transthoracic biopsy is a diagnostic method used to diagnose suspicious pleural, mediastinal and lung lesions. This diagnostic method is becoming more commonly used in practice because of its high diagnostic accuracy and low risk of complications. When diagnosing pleural lesions, the most common diagnosis is malignant pleural mesothelioma. The most common complication during the procedure is pneumothorax. Participants and methods: This retrospective study was done in the Radiology department of Clinical Hospital Center in Rijeka from January 2007. until January 2019. During the study 105 patients underwent CT-guided TTB procedure due to suspicion in pleural lesions. Results: The study includes 105 patients that underwent transthoracic biopsy. Average patient age as well as median age was 58.5 years. Incidence of malignant pleural diseases is four times higher among men population. Sensitivity of this diagnostic method is 93.42%. Cytological and pathohystological analysis of tissue samples found that the incidence of malignant pleural mesothelioma was 48.57%. No complications occurred during this study.
