Abstract
Ovim radom bi se trebala pokazati važnost kemijske kontrole plaka odnosno klorheksidina koji je nedvojbeno najispitivaniji spoj. Uz mehaničku kontrolu plaka koju podrazumijeva zubna četkica i zubna pasta, potrebno je uvesti i tekućine za ispiranje usne šupljine kako bi se u potpunosti spriječilo nakupljanje zubnog plaka te stvaranje gingivitisa i parodontitisa. U ovom radu govorimo o zubnim pastama kao najučestalijem sredstvu u kemijskoj kontroli plaka. Sadrže mnoge sastojke koji služe u prevenciji karijesa i smanjenju skupljanja zubnoga kamenca, te osjećaju svježine u ustima. Sljedeće najkorištenije sredstvo su tekućine za ispiranje usne šupljine koje se koriste za suzibijanje zubnoga plaka. Preporučaju se tekućine bez alkohola, sa klorheksidinom. Klorheksidinske tekućine najdjelotvornije su, no imaju svojih nedostataka. Potrebno ih je koristiti u određenom ciklusu sa pauzama. Gume za žvakanje su jedan od najlakše upotrebljivih kemijskih sredstava. Pomažu u skidanju naslaga na okluzalnim plohama, te kratkotrajnom osjećaju svježine u usnoj šupljini, no donose malu korist u kemijskoj kontroli plaka. Ovoj skupini također pripadaju sprejevi, lakovi i irigatori koji se koriste najčešće kod mentalno zaostalih i hendikepiranih osoba.
Abstract (english)
This work should demonstrate the importance of chemical controls or chlorhexidine which is arguably the most tested compound. In addition to the mechanical control of plaque, which includes a toothbrush and toothpaste, it is necessary to investigate the fluids for rinsing the oral cavity in order to fully try to accumulate dental plaque and make gingivitis and periodontitis. In this paper, we talk about toothpastes as the most common remedy in a chemically controlled plaque. The content of many ingredients that serve in career prevention and reduce the accumulation of tartar, and feel fresh in the mouth. The next most used liquid is the oral rinses used to suppress dental plaque. I recommend liquids without alcohol, with chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine liquids are the most effective and have no drawbacks. It is necessary to use them in a certain cycle with breaks. Chewing gum is one of the easiest chemicals to use. They help to remove deposits on the occlusal surfaces, and a short-term feeling of freshness in the oral cavity, without bringing little benefit in chemically controlled plaque. This group also includes sprays, varnishes and irrigators used in the mentally retarded and handicapped
