Abstract
Od izuma lasera do danas razvijeni su brojni sustavi pogodni za upotrebu u dentalnoj medicini. Razvijeni su specifični laseri za rad na tvrdim te laseri za rad na mekim tkivima. Korisni su u svim grana dentalne medicine,a širina primjene ovisi o znanju i vještini terapeuta. U protetici se laseri najviše koriste u fazi pretprotetske pripreme. U fiksnoj protetici se to najviše odnosi na produljenje krune zuba te na prikaz granice preparacije. U mobilnoj protetici se laseri koriste za pretprotetske kirurške zahvate kojima se modificiraju tvrda i meka oralna tkiva. Za samo brušenje za fiksnoprotetske radove, rotirajući instrumenti su i dalje metoda izbora. Proizvodnjom lasera novih valnih duljina, njihova primjena će se još proširiti a potrebna su još brojna istraživanja kako bi se otkrili potrebni parametri za specifične radnje.
Abstract (english)
Since the invention of the laser, to date have been developed numerous systems suitable for use in dental medicine. There have been developed specific lasers for working on hard tissues and lasers for working on soft tissues. They are useful in all branches of dental medicine, and the application depends on the knowledge and skill of the therapist. In prosthetics, most lasers are used for preprosthetic preparation. In fixed prosthetics, this is especially refered to the extension of the dental crown and to gingival troughing. In mobile prosthetics, lasers are used for preprosthetic surgical procedures which modify hard and soft oral tissues. For hard tissue ablation rotating instruments are still the method of choice. With the production of new laser wavelengths, their application will be further expanded, and it takes more numerous studies to discover the parameters required for specific procedures.
