Abstract
U ovom su radu u uvodnom dijelu u osnovnim crtama opisani poli(dimetil-siloksan), zeoliti te teorijska pozadina eksperimentalnih metoda koje su korištene u radu. Složena molekulska dinamika polimernih sustava poput poli(dimetil-siloksana) u kombinaciji sa zeolitima istražena je elektronskom spinskom rezonancijom (ESR), a njihovo termičko ponašanje razlikovnom pretražnom kalorimetrijom (DSC). Utjecaj mehaničke predobrade na kristaliničnost zeolita ispitan je rentgneskom difrakcijom praha (PXRD). Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je ispitati utjecaj mehaničke predobrade zeolita na molekulsku dinamiku poli(dimetil-siloksana) (PDMS) u kompozitnim uzorcima. Rezultati pokazuju da prisutnost zeolita usporava lokalnu molekulsku dinamiku u matrici poli(dimetil-siloksana). Pokazano je da mehanička predobrada zeolita u tome igra značajnu ulogu. Učinak zeolita na usporavanje dinamike PDMS lanaca ovisi o molekulskoj masi samog poli(dimetil-siloksana), ali i o mehaničkoj predobradi zeolita te njezinom vremenskom trajanju. Na temelju rezultata ovog istraživanja može se zaključiti da bi zeoliti mogli imati dobru perspektivu kao potencijalna punila za elastomere.
Abstract (english)
In the introduction of this work, the basics of poly(dimethyl-siloxane), zeolites and the theoretical background of the used experimental methods are described. The complex molecular dynamics of polymer systems such as poly(dimethyl-siloxane) in combination with zeolites was investigated by electron spin resonance (ESR), and their thermal behavior by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The influence of mechanical pretreatment on the crystallinity of zeolite was examined by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). The aim of this work was to examine the influence of mechanical pretreatment of zeolite on the molecular dynamics of poly(dimethyl-siloxane) (PDMS) in composite samples. Results show that the presence of zeolite slows down the local molecular dynamics in the poly(dimethyl-siloxane) matrix. It has been shown that the mechanical pretreatment of zeolite plays a significant role. The effect of zeolite on the restriction of the dynamics of PDMS chains depends on the molecular weight of the poly(dimethyl-siloxane) itself, but also on the mechanical pretreatment of the zeolite and its duration. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that zeolites might have a good perspective as potential fillers for elastomers.
