Abstract
Prijelomi bedrene kosti kod djece zahtijevaju pravovremeno i adekvatno liječenje radi postizanja optimalnih rezultata. Konzervativno liječenje, poput imobilizacije gipsom primjenjuje se za stabilne prijelome. Nestabilni prijelomi ili prijelomi s pomakom mogu zahtijevati kirurški pristup za postizanje anatomski korektne repozicije i fiksacije. Kirurške metode uključuju elastičnu stabilnu intramedularnu osteosintezu (ESIN) i vanjsku fiksaciju. Odabir odgovarajuće metode ovisi o vrsti prijeloma, dobi djeteta i stručnosti kirurga. Važno je pratiti pacijente nakon liječenja zbog mogućih komplikacija poput avaskularne nekroze glave bedrene kosti. Praćenje pacijenata i prepoznavanje komplikacija su ključni. Liječenje prijeloma bedrene kosti u djece zahtijeva individualni pristup, pravovremenu terapiju i praćenje. Cilj je postići uspješne rezultate i povrat djeteta u normalne aktivnosti.
Abstract (english)
Fractures of the femur in children require timely and adequate treatment to achieve optimal results. Conservative treatment, such as immobilization with a cast, is applied in stable fractures. Unstable fractures or fractures with dislocation may require surgical treatment to achieve anatomically correct reduction and fixation. Surgical methods include elastic stable intramedullary nailing (ESIN) and external fixation. The choice of the appropriate method depends on the type of fracture, the age of the child, and the expertise of the surgeon. It is important to follow up the patients post treatment in order to recognize possible complications such as avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Patient monitoring and identification of complications are crucial. The treatment of femur fractures in children requires an individualized approach, timely therapy, and follow-up. The goal is to achieve successful outcomes and return the child to normal activity.
