Abstract
Ozljede kralježnice obuhvaćaju ozljede kralježične osi, kralježične moždine, ligamenata, diskusa i korijena spinalnih živaca. Iako relativno rijetke, predstavljaju važan javnozdravstveni problem zbog mogućeg invaliditeta koji prati ozljedu kralježnične moždine. Kod postavljanja dijagnoze koriste se radiološke metode i klasifikacijski sustavi za pojedine kralježnične cjeline. Terapijski pristup uključuje konzervativne i kirurške metode. Većina ozljeda liječi se nekirurški, ograničavajući pokretljivost, analgeticima i fizikalnom terapijom. Manji broj ozljeda liječi se kiruške, uključujući nestabilne ozljede i s neurološkim deficitom. Nakon provedenog liječenja ključan je rehabilitacijski proces prilagođen svakom pacijentu s ciljem povrata funkcionalnisti i smanjiti komplikacije.
Abstract (english)
Spinal injuries include injuries to the spinal axis, spinal cord, ligaments, discs and spinal nerve roots. Although relatively rare, they represent an important public health problem due to the possible disability that accompanies spinal cord injury. When establishing a diagnosis, radiological methods and classification systems are used for different spinal units. The therapeutic approach includes conservative and surgical methods. Most injuries are treated non-surgically by limiting mobility, analgesics and physical therapy. A smaller number of injuries are treated with surgery, including unstable injuries and those with a neurological deficit. After the treatment, a rehabilitation process adapted to each patient with the aim of restoring functionality and reducing complications is crucial.
