Intraarticular fractions of the proximal part of the tibia are affecting the articular surface of the mentioned, which participates in the knee joint. Knee joints are taking the crucial part in carrying body weight, which makes their normal function a vital necessity. In order to maintain the normal function of the mentioned joit, it is necessary to reduce, further more, to stabilize fragments with a stable osteosynthesis and to start with the basic rehabilitation and with increasement of the mobility of the knee. Morphologic fractions may appear as an isolated fraction of one or both condyles, afterwards as and depression of the condyles or as a combination of both. After diagnosed fractions, treatment may be conservative or operative, depending on the indications. Operational fractions can be treated with an internal or an external osteosynthesis. The internal osteosynthesis can be treated in two ways : either with an opened reposition or with an internal fixation by a arthroscopic assisted repostion with an internal fixation. Damaged soft tissue which does not allow immediate installation of an internal fixation, a variety of different external fixations can be used, whilst the internal ostesynthesis requires screws and plates. The main aim of a stable osteosynthesis is an instant rehabilitation and the mobility of the joint in orderd to achieve an optimal result.
