Abstract
Popularnost alpskog skijanja danas se, na globalnoj razini, procjenjuje na 200 miliona sudionika. Jasno je da takav broj sudionika znači i povećanu potrebu za aktivnom liječničkom brigom i skrbi na samom terenu kao i obližnjim bolnicama. Cilj je ovoga rada proučiti i ukazati na pojavnost povreda u alpskom skijanju kako rekreativnom tako i natjecateljskom kao i dati preporuke za njihovu prevenciju. Isto tako prikazati će se povijesni razvoj alpskog skijanja u svijetu i u Hrvatskoj, povijesni razvoj skijaške opreme i povijesni razvoj različitih tehnika skijanja. Promjene u skijaškim tehnikama uzrokovale su i promjene na obrascu ozljeda koje susrećemo u alpskom skijanju. Prema faktorima rizika i mehanizmima nastanka ozljeda vidljivo je da se prevencija bazira na: razvoju i poboljšanju kvalitete skijaške opreme, poboljšanju fizičke spreme skijaša, edukaciji i osvještavanju skijaša, uređenju staza i kontroli broja skijaša na stazama.
Abstract (english)
The popularity of alpine skiing today is globally estimated at 200 million participants. It is clear that such a number of participants means an increased need for active medical care, care in the field as well as nearby hospitals. The aim of this paper is to study and point out the emergence of injuries in alpine skiing both recreational and competative and to give recommendations for their prevention. The history of alpine skiing in the world and Croatia will also be presented, the historical development of ski equipment and the historical development of various ski techniques. Changes in skiing techniques have also caused changes in the forms of injury we encounter in alpine skiing. According to the risk factors and the mechanisms of injury, it is evident that prevention is based on: development and improvement of the quality of ski equipment, improving physical fitness for skiers, educating and informing skiers, adjusting the track and controlling the number of skiers on the slopes.
