Abstract
Parkinsonova bolest (PB) je neurodegenarativni poremećaj koji je rezultat propadanja dopaminergičnih nigrostrijalnih puteva u substanciji nigri. Osobe s PB uobičajeno pokazuju motoričke simptome (MS) i znakove povezane s parkinsonizmom, kao što su: hipokinezija (smanjenje pokreta), bradikinezija (usporenost pokreta), rigor i tremor. Premda je PB dominatno poremećaj pokreta, javljaju se i nemotorički simptomi (NMS) kao što su depresija, demencija, bol, umor, poremećaj spavanja, hiposmija, simptomi autonomnog sustava i dr. U liječenju NMS koristi se ciljana terapija (ovisno o genezi simptoma). NMS bitno narušavaju kvalitetu života, te vrlo je važno na vrijeme ih prepoznati i liječiti. Za određivanje zastupljenosti NMS koristi se Non-Motor Symptom assessment Scale for Parkinson's Disease (NMSS).
Abstract (english)
Parkinson's disease is neurodegenerative diseases caused by degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra People with PB usually show signs and symptoms associated with parkinsonism like hypokinesia (reduction of movement), bradykinesia (slow motion), rigidity, and tremor. Although PB is the dominant movement disorder, non-motoric symptoms (NMS) such as depression, dementia, pain, fatigue, sleep disorders, hypochysms, and autonomic system symptoms are also reported. Targeted therapy is used to treat NMS (depending on the genesis of the symptoms). NMS significantly disturb the quality of life, and it is very important to recognize and treat them at a time. To determine the presence of NMS, Non-Motor Symptom assessment Scale for Parkinson's Disease (NMSS) is used.
