Karakteristične značajke atopijskog dermatitisa, poput početka bolesti, raspodjele lezija, pruritusa, kseroze, lihenifikacije i atopije pomažu u diferencijaciji atopijskog dermatitisa od sličnih bolesti. Etiologija nije u potpunosti jasna, no najčešće se povezuje s hormonalnim promjenama, kvasnicom Pytirosporum ovale, prehrambenim deficitom i neurogenim čimbenicima.
Abstract (english) Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that is common in childhood and whose prevalence is increasing. Characteristic features of atopic dermatitis, such as onset of the disease, distribution of lesions, pruritus, xerosis, lichenification, and atopy help differentiate atopic dermatitis from similar diseases. Topical treatment is the backbone of therapy, and systemic treatment is performed for severe forms of atopic dermatitis. Education of parents and children is extremely important for disease control. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common, inflammatory childhood dermatosis that affects
areas of skin rich in sebaceous glands. It most commonly affects children under 3 months of age. The etiology is not entirely clear, but is most commonly associated with hormonal changes, Pytirosporum ovale, nutritional deficiency and neurogenic factors. It is often a self-limiting disease, and treatment consists of nonpharmacological and pharmacological measures. Numular dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition of unknown etiology characterized by eczematoid lesions in the form of coins. Medium to highly potent corticosteroids together with topical antibiotics are the first line of treatment, and immunomodulators are the second line of treatment for more severe forms. Contact dermatitis includes allergic contact dermatitis and irritant contact dermatitis, which is more common. Contact dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disease that is induced by contact with chemical, physical or biological agents in the environment and that damages the skin by allergic and irritating pathogenetic mechanisms. The diagnosis is made by a patch test. Treatment of contact dermatitis consists of the application of topical or systemic corticosteroids, depending on the severity of the disease, but the most important thing is to avoid contact with harmful substances that cause inflammatory reactions.
