Abstract Nekirurške metode pomlađivanja lica domena su estetske medicine čije su primjena i potražnja u stalnom porastu.
Važno se prije primjene određene metode konzultirati s pacijentom i jasno definirati očekivanja i mogućnosti tretmana, vrijeme oporavka i moguće rizike postupka.
Abstract (english) Non-surgical methods of facial rejuvenation fall under the domain of aesthetic medicine, the demand for which is constantly increasing. Treatments are used not only by those who want to rejuvenate tired and dry skin, but also by those who want to slow down aging by preventing it. Non-surgical methods of rejuvenation allow for a way of rejuvenation and facelifting effect for those who do not want to undergo invasive cosmetic surgery. They are becoming increasingly popular due to their ease of application, shorter recovery time and mild side effects, effective and natural results, and affordable prices. For both men and women, in almost all age groups, botulinum toxin is the most performed non-surgical method of rejuvenation, followed by injections of hyaluronic acid. In the field of aesthetic medicine, botulinum toxin is used to selectively paralyze facial mimic muscles and reduce the visibility of dynamic wrinkles, while injecting hyaluronic fillers is used as a way to compensate for skin and subcutaneous tissue volume and to fill static wrinkles. Aging of the upper face is primarily manifested by the formation of wrinkles, while aging of the middle and lower face is predominantly associated with loss of volume and sagging soft tissue and skin - therefore in the treatment of the upper face botulinum toxin is preferred, and in the lower part of the face hyaluronic fillers. It is important to consult with the patient before applying a particular method and clearly define expectations and treatment options, recovery time and possible risks of the procedure. For the successful application of
corrective procedures for the purpose of facial rejuvenation, it is necessary to have an excellent knowledge of facial anatomy and the correct choice of materials and application techniques. This way patient satisfaction increases and the possibility of complications is reduced.
