Abstract
Dijagnostički ultrazvuk ima široku primjenu u skoro svim granama medicine. Uz dijagnostičke, ultrazvuk se koristi i u terapijske svrhe. Glavna prednost ultrazvuka je da je neionizirajuća dijagnostička metoda, odnosno za stvaranje slike ne koristi štetno ionizirajuće zračenje. Ultrazvučni val unutar sonde uređaja nastaje obrnutim piezoelektričnim efektom. Princip rada ultrazvuka temelji se na emisiji i detekciji ultrazvučnih valova koji se odbijaju od struktura unutar tkiva. Izrada agar-fantoma poprilično je laka. Sastojci su jeftini i lako ih je nabaviti, a postupak za izradu fantoma je jednostavan. Fantom je odlično pomagalo studentu da nauči osnove mjerenja ultrazvučnim uređajem.
Abstract (english)
Diagnostic ultrasound is widely used in almost all fields of medicine. Also, ultrasound can be used as treatment procedure. Main advantage of ultrasound is that it is non-ionizing diagnostic procedure which means that it doesn't require ionizing radiation which is very damaging for body. Ultrasound wave inside probe originate from reversed piezoelectric field. The principle of ultrasound is based on emission and detection of ultrasound waves which are reflecting from structures inside the body. Production of agar-phantoms is quite easy. Constituents are cheap and easy to buy and a process of making is pretty simple. Phantom is great tool for students to learn basic measurements of ultrasound imiging.
