OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: The objectives of this study were to investigate the frequency of physical activity of elderly people from Eastern Croatia before and during the COVID 19 pandemic, to examine their opinions about vaccination and the vaccination status itself, then to asses whether there is a relationship between the observed variables. STUDY STRUCTURE: Cross-sectional study SUBJECTS AND METHODS: The study included 382 respondents from Eastern Croatia who were ≥ 65 years old. The study was conducted using an anonymous survey questionnaire in the period from March 1 to 22 May 2022, and comprised of 28 questions. RESULTS: The conducted research found a decrease in physical activity during the COVID19 pandemic. Vaccination status influenced physical activity. The obtained results showed differences in respondents' opinions about vaccination and the frequency of conducting different types of physical activities during the pandemic. CONCLUSION: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a decrease in physical activity among elderly people. Respondents whose opinions about the vaccination program are more positive and vaccinated respondents more often performed various types of physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
