Objective: To assess mother satisfaction by breastfeeding in the postpartum period. Study design: A cross-sectional study was conducted. Subjects and methods: 213 examinees, mothers/nurses involved in the patronage care of the Health Center Osijek participated in the trial between 1st December 2017 and 31st January 2018. Questionnaire „MBFES“ was used for the implementation of the survey. Results: Mothers are satisfied with breastfeeding during the postpartum period (77 % SM). The highest satisfaction was shown by respondents aged 29 to 33 years (79 % SM). Residents living in the village (78,7 % SM), who are married and to the outside community (77,3 % SM), having three or more children (79,3 % SM), lower qualifications (81,7 % SM) and unemployed (81 % SM) have shown greater satisfaction with breastfeeding. There was a difference in the satisfaction of the respondents according to the material monthly income in the Mothers Pleasure/ Role of Achievement (Kruskal Wallis test, P = 0.001) and slashed Childhood Satisfaction /Growth (Kruskal Wallis test, P = 0.009). Significantly more satisfied mothers who have below average income compared to mothers with above average income (Kruskal Wallis test, P = 0.001). Conclusion: The respondents are satisfied with breastfeeding during the postpartum period. There is no difference in satisfaction according to age, place of residence, marital status, number of children,level of education and working status. There is a difference in satisfaction with the material monthly income.
