Abstract
U ovom su radu predstavljeni rezultati istraživanja vrste Sepia officinalis, Linnaeus, 1758, na području srednjeg Jadrana. Dio biološkog materijala predstavljaju mjesečni uzorci (N =350) prikupljeni 1998/99., a dio (N =18) su uzorci prikupljani od veljače do lipnja 2017. Odnos spolova (m/ž) bio je 1,36. Dužina plašta jedinki iznosila je od 53 do 230 mm (110 ± 21,64 SD), a masa tijela od 53,3 do 985,7 g (178,3 ± 116,93 SD). Dužinsko maseni odnos je negativno alometrijski (b < 3), a koeficijent rasta bio je veći za ženke nego za mužjake. Dužina plašta prve spolne zrelosti kod mužjaka bila je 87 mm, a kod ženki 105 mm. Fekunditet zrelih ženki varirao je između 318 i 588 oocita, sa srednjom vrijednošću 436 (± 104 SD). Dužina oocita kretala se od 0,93 do 8,09 mm. U gonadama zrelih ženki istovremeno su bile prisutne oocite u različitim stadijima razvoja, što ukazuje na isprekidano terminalno razmnožavanje kod ove vrste. Broj spermatofora u mužjaka bio je od 758 do 2934 ( ± 1056 SD), a dužina u rasponu od 3,41 do 16,5 mm (± 3,41 SD).
Abstract (english)
This theisis presents results of the study of the species Sepia officinalis, Linnaeus, 1758, in the Central Adriatic Sea. Part of the biological material represents monthly samples (N =350) collected in 1998/99, and the other group (N=18) were samples collected between February and June 2017. Sex ratio (m/f) was 1,36. Mantle length of specimens ranged from 53 to 230 mm (110 ± 21,64 SD), and body weight from 53,3 to 985,7 g (178,3 ± 116,93 SD). The length-weight relationship is negatively allometric (b < 3), and the growth coefficient was higher for females than for the males. The mantle length at first sexual maturity was 87 mm in males and 105 mm in females. Fecundity of mature females was found to vary between 318 and 588 oocites, with an average of 436 (± 104 SD ). Oocytes length measured from 0,93 to 8,09 mm. In the gonads of mature females oocytes at different stages of development were found, indicating that the species has an intermittent terminal spawning. The number of spermatophores in males ranged from 758 to 2934 ( ± 1056 SD), and the length from 3,41 do 16,5 mm (± 3,41 SD).
