Abstract
U ovom završnom radu definirat će se sam pojam osiguranja, vrste osiguranja te sklapanje i prestanak ugovora o osiguranju. Naglasak će biti na zdravstveno osiguranje te na pravne aspekte zdravstvenog osiguranja. Osiguranje je djelatnost usmjerena na čuvanje dobara i obnovu oštećene imovine. Pruža sigurnost svim zainteresiranima čija imovina ili integritet mogu biti ugroženi djelovanjem raznih opasnosti. Dvije glavne skupine osiguranja su životno i neživotno osiguranje. Zdravstveno osiguranje je vrsta neživotnog osiguranja. Ugovorom o osiguranju osiguratelj se obvezuje isplatiti osigurninu u slučaju da se ostvari osigurani slučaj, dok se ugovaratelj obvezuje platiti premiju osiguranja. Bitni elementi ugovora o osiguranju su osigurani rizik, premija osiguranja, osigurnina i osigurani slučaj. Glavna podjela zdravstvenog osiguranja u Hrvatskoj je na obvezno i dobrovoljno zdravstveno osiguranje. Dobrovoljno zdravstveno osiguranje može biti dopunsko, dodatno te privatno osiguranje. Njih provode društva za osiguranje. Hrvatski zavod za zdravstveno osiguranje provodi obvezno zdravstveno osiguranje, također i dobrovoljno dopunsko osiguranje.
Abstract (english)
In this final paper, the very concept of insurance, types of insurance and the conclusion of termination of insurance contracts will be defined. The emphasis will be on health insurance and on the legal aspects of health insurance. Insurance is an activity aimed at preserving goods and restoring damaged property. It provides security to all interested parties whose property or integrity may be endangered by the action of various hazards. The two main groups of insurance are life and non-life insurance. Health insurance is a type of non-life insurance. Under the insurance contract, the insurer undertakes to pay the insurance in the event of an insured event, while the policyholder undertakes to pay the insurance premium. The essential elements of an insurance contract are insured risk, insurance premium, insurance and insured event. The main division of health insurance in Croatia is into compulsory and voluntary health insurance. Voluntary health insurance can be supplementary, additional and private insurance. They are conducted by insurance companies. The Croatian Health Insurance Institute provides compulsory health insurance, as well as voluntary supplementary insurance.
