This paper presents the process of designing a selected lattice girder from a complex load bearing structure of the light canopy of the business-residential building “Atlantska plovidba” located in Dubrovnik. The girder is designed to the level of the detailed design and the calculation itself includes the choice of load bearing lattice girder material, choice of roofing material, calculation of constant and variable loads, dimensioning of lattice bars and load bearing columns and design of characteristic nodes and important details of the lattice joint. The choice of roofing material was checked using the APH method to confirm the correctness of the choice. Finally, the technology and the order of execution and assembly of the selected lattice girder are briefly described, and a simulation report from Inventor Professional software package is added as an appendix, which proves the accuracy of calculation itself.
