Foreign trade is an area of business internationalization. Therefore, it is a segment that involves the expansion of various economic activities beyond the borders that are focused on the domestic market. All of the above leads to extensive economic policy. With the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, foreign trade gained in importance. In this way, the Republic of Croatia has opened easier ways to conduct its foreign trade in the Eu ropean Union. The primary goal of each national economy is to be as successful as possible in the international field of work. Foreign trade involves the transport of various materials and products. Without transport, therefore, foreign trade would not be possible. Transport must be carried out following established regulations which imply the possession of transport documents. Transport documents are an essential item of any transport process, regardless of whether it is transported by land, air or water. The basic goal of the paper is directed towards the presentation of transport documents in foreign trade with an emphasis on the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
