Abstract
U ovom radu detaljno će se pojasniti pojam elektroničkog novca i platnih kartica. U platne kartice spadaju kreditne, debitne i prepaid kartice. Prilikom korištenja elektroničkog novca, najčešće se pojavljuje pitanje je li elektronički novac siguran za korištenje? Elektroničkim novcem se sve može kupiti, jednak je pravom novcu, ali je razlika što ga se ne može imati u fizičkom obliku. Kroz rad definirat će se pojam platne kartice, kreditne, debitne i prepaid kartice kao i njihova usporedba. Kroz istraživanja provest će se analiza platnih kartica u Hrvatskoj. U zadnjem poglavlju rada napravljena je usporedba kreditne kartice Mastercard Hrvatske poštanske banke, OTP banke i Erste banke. U ovom radu došli smo do zaključka da će udio platnog prometa koji se obavlja elektroničkim novcem sve više rasti te da bezgotovinski načini plaćanja predstavljaju budućnost plaćanja.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, the meanings of the words electronic money and payment cards will be detailly explained. Payment cards are divided into credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards. One of the most common questions related to usage of electronic money is whether the electronic money is safe to use? Anything can be bought with electronic money, it is equal to real physical money, but the only difference is that you can't have it in a physical form. Through the thesis, the meanings of words payment card, credit card, debit card and payment card will be explained and they will also be compared. Through researches, the analysis of payment cards in Croatia will be conducted. In the final chapter, a comparison of Mastercard credit cards from Hrvatska poštanska banka, OTP banka and Erste banka is conducted. In this thesis we came to the conclusion that the share of payment operations that is conducted with electronic money will keep increasing and that cashless payment represents the future of payment.
