The tourist area is the place that attracts tourists and by exploiting the same area (where the meeting of tourist offers and demand occurs every day) the touristic destination takes shape. The main goal of the paper is to show the state of Slavonia and Baranja are shown. The area that the region encompasses and the state of its counties in the touristic frameworks were shown in detail. Statistics refer to the number of domestic and foreign guests' arrivals and overn ight stays. By carrying out the SWOT analysis many strengths and opportunities that touristic areas of Slavonia and Baranja have and need to utilize were shown. However, the weaknesses and threats that make progress difficult were not eliminated, nevertheless, the potential with which Slavonia and Baranja manage are immeasurable. The first association when it comes to touristic travel to Slavonia and Baranja is the quiet weekend vacation in the family house. That is not bad at all, but this tourist area can offer a lot more. In comparison to other Croatian regions, cordiality, and authenticity in providing services are the foundation of Slavonia and Baranja. And on those two factors, it is necessary to build all other products that can improve further development.
