Abstract
Sezonalnost turizma jedan je od vodećih problema s kojima se turistička destinacija može suočiti. Brojne su negativnosti koje izaziva, a koje mogu devastirati gospodarstvo, okoliš i socio-kulturni život lokalnog stanovništva. Kao jedno od mogućih rješenja problema sezonalnosti navodi se razvoj selektivnih oblika turizma, u ovom slučaju ekoturizma. Šibensko-kninska županija kao odmorišno-kupališna destinacija ima vrlo izraženu sezonalnost. Nacionalni park Krka dio je ponude ekoturizma županije te bi trebao smanjivati razinu sezonalnosti u godini, no on je kao destinacija također pod utjecajem ekstremne sezonalnosti. Nacionalni park Krka još uvijek je usputna destinacija turistima koji posjećuju Šibensko-kninsku županiju za vrijeme visoke sezone te kao takva nema mogućnost produživanja sezone. Uz adekvatno širenje ekoturističke ponude i valoriziranje prirodnih resursa u turističke svrhe, razvoj ekoturizma bi moglo biti rješenje kod problema sezonalnosti Šibensko-kninske županije.
Abstract (english)
Seasonality of tourism is one of the leading problems that a tourist destination can face. It causes numerous negative effects that can devastate the economy, environment, and sociocultural life of the local population. One of the possible solutions to the problem of seasonality is the development of selective forms of tourism, such as ecotourism. ŠibenikKnin County, as a beach tourism destination, experiences a high level of seasonality. The Krka National Park is part of the county's ecotourism offering and should help reduce the level of seasonality throughout the year. However, it is also affected by extreme seasonality as it is still considered a secondary destination for tourists visiting Šibenik-Knin County during the peak season, and therefore, it does not have the potential to extend the season. Adequate expansion of the ecotourism offering and the valorization of natural resources for tourism purposes could be a solution to the seasonality problem in Šibenik-Knin County.
