Abstract Turističke agencije igraju ključnu ulogu u oblikovanju, promociji i prodaji različitih turističkih usluga. Posebno su dobile na važnosti nakon Prvog svjetskog rata. Danas su turističke agencije neizbježan dio globalnog turističkog sektora, a razvojem interneta, njihova prisutnost i utjecaj su se proširili. U ovom radu pažnja je usmjerena na Slavoniju, bogatu kulturnom baštinom, netaknutom prirodom i izvrsnom gastronomijom. Razmatraju se različiti aspekti ponude, uključujući kulturne događaje, prirodne atrakcije, eno-gastronomska iskustva i druge aktivnosti koje privlače turiste. Također se istražuju izazovi s kojima se turizam u Slavoniji suočava, poput nedostatka prepoznatljivosti na turističkom tržištu, infrastrukturnih izazova i potrebe za obukom radne snage. Osim identifikacije problema, rad predstavlja potencijalna rješenja i strategije koje turističke agencije i lokalne vlasti mogu primijeniti kako bi potaknuli razvoj turizma u Slavoniji. To uključuje inovativne marketinške pristupe, suradnju s lokalnim zajednicama te ulaganje u infrastrukturu i obrazovanje. Zaključno, turističke agencije imaju ključnu ulogu u razvoju turizma u Slavoniji. Njihova sposobnost oblikovanja i promocije turističke ponude, povezivanje lokalnih resursa s globalnim tržištem čini ih neizostavnim partnerima u oživljavanju turističkog potencijala ove regije. Zajedničkim naporima i pametnim strategijama, Slavonija može postati turistička destinacija koja privlači posjetitelje iz cijelog svijeta i pridonosi ekonomskom i društvenom prosperitetu regije.
Abstract (english) Tourist agencies have a crucial role in shaping, promoting, and selling various tourism-related services. They gained particular significance after World War I. Today, tourist agencies are an indispensable part of the global tourism sector, and with the development of the internet, their presence and influence have expanded. This study focuses on Slavonia, a region rich in cultural heritage, untouched nature, and excellent gastronomy. Various aspects of the offering are examined, including cultural events, natural attractions, culinary experiences, and other activities that attract tourists. Challenges faced by tourism in Slavonia are also explored, such as a lack of recognition in the tourism market, infrastructure challenges, and the need for workforce training. In addition to identifying issues, the paper presents potential solutions and strategies that tourist agencies and local authorities can employ to stimulate tourism development in Slavonia. This includes innovative marketing approaches, collaboration with local communities, and investments in infrastructure and education. In conclusion, tourist agencies play a crucial role in the development of tourism in Slavonia. Their ability to shape and promote the tourism offering and connect local resources to the global market makes them essential partners in revitalizing the tourism potential of this region. Through joint efforts and smart strategies, Slavonia can become a tourist destination that attracts visitors from around the world and contributes to the economic and social prosperity of the region.
