Abstract
Kroz ovaj rad opisan je proces izrade Real-Time Strategy (RTS) igre koristeći Unity, platformu za izradu 3D i 2D videoigara i sličnog sadržaja. U procesu izrade istražena je povijest videoigara, glavna obilježja strateških igara te na koji način su se one mijenjale i razvijale kroz godine. U današnje vrijeme RTS podžanr ne uživa toliku popularnost kao prije 30 godina budući da današnjom scenom dominiraju igre iz podžanra Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). Ipak, strategije u stvarnom vremenu su još uvijek žive i ovaj rad je motiviran utjecajem ovoga žanra na svijet video zabave. Kroz rad su opisana glavna obilježja ovih igara, glavni problemi pri izradi same igre te motivacija za njenu izradu.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the process of creating a Real-Time Strategy game using Unity, a platform for creating 3D and 2D video games and similar content. During the process of creation, the history of video games, the main characteristics of strategy games and how they changed and developed over the years were investigated. Nowadays, the RTS genre does not enjoy as much popularity as it did 30 years ago, since today's scene is dominated by MOBA games or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena genre. However, real-time strategies are still alive and this work is motivated by the influence of this genre on the world of video entertainment. This paper describes the main characteristics of these games, the main problems in developing the game itself, and the motivation for development.
