Abstract
INCOTERMS termini se koriste pri ugovaranju vanjskotrgovinskih poslova, kao neobvezni dodatak kupoprodajnom ugovoru. Osnovna svrha INCOTERMS-a je osigurati prodavatelju i kupcu jasno definiranje obveza i odgovornosti koje su obje strane dužne ispoštovati temeljem kupoprodajnog ugovora, a čime se nastoji smanjiti mogućnost pravnih i ekonomskih nesporazuma. Napredak tehnologije, zajedno s popratnim inovacijama u transportu i špediciji doveli su do potrebe za revidiranjem INCOTERMS termina, kako bi se odgovorilo potrebama nadolazećih promjena u međunarodnoj trgovini. U samim počecima primjene, revizije su dolazile ukorak s novim izumima, bez točne vremenske odrednice, da bi se 1980. uvriježila njihova stalna nadogradnja svakih 10 godina. Trenutno je na snazi INCOTERMS 2010., a uskoro se očekuje i publikacija INCOTERMS 2020.
Abstract (english)
INCOTERMS are used in international commerce as voluntary supplement to the purchase contract. The main goal of INCOTERMS is to define duties and responsibilities which a seller and a buyer are obliged to fulfil when purchase contract is made, in order to avoid possible legal and economic misunderstanding. The breakthrough in technology, together with the innovations in transportation of goods, emphasize the need for revision of INCOTERMS, in order to adapt to current trends. In the beginning of their implementation, revisions were the result of the breakthrough in technology, and since 1980, revisions are made every ten years. At the moment, INCOTERMS 2010 are in force; publication of INCOTERMS 2020 is due to arrive in the near future.
