The topic of this final work is Corruption in the Croatian Economy. Corruption is widespreadsocial problem, is a threat to human rights, it reduces morale, hampers economic growth and development, increases social insecurity and creates a bad business climate. Its diffusion leads to the erosion of the moral norms system and loss of ethical virtues of society. The final work is divided into three chapters. The first part deals with the conceptual definition of corruption. The second chapter deals with the perception of the widespread corruption and provides an insight into indicators of the level of corruption, and the third section provides an overview of the impact of corruption on the economy and economic growth and development and provides an overview of the legislative and legal framework and the implementation of ethical standards and values in public services . The paper concludes that Croatia, according to the latest statistical and scientific research, does not achieve good results in the fight against corruption and that citizens do not trust institutions and believe that the government does not deal adequately with solving the problem of corruption and its suppression.
