Svojimaktivnostima putničke agencije pomažu i olakšavaju turistima putovanja. Uz posredovanje informacijama, prodajusuvenira, prijevoznih karata, putničke agencije nude i turističke aranžmane i izlete.
Abstract (english) The appearance of tourism in Croatia led to increasing demand for travel agencies. With their activities travel agencies help and ease travelling for their clients. Thereby they carry out characteristic jobs which contribute to getting closer to clients and recognizing their wants and wishes. Besides information intermediation, souvenir and travel ticket sales they also offer travel packages and excursions. Depending on the type of the travel agency some of them base their business on travel packages and others on one day trips. In general, large travel agencies like Katarina line, Atlas, Gulliver base their business on travel package sales. They offer different travel packages like ship cruises, outbound, group, winter, summer etc. all based on their clientele preferences. Elite Travel, Amico Tours, and Avansa Travel are small travel agencies that base their business in Dubrovnik area. In the past years the number of travel agencies went up significantly, together with the number of tourists that visit Dubrovnik. To remain competitive and to satisfy their client needs they offer different kind of trips. Avansa Travel offers one day trips which use a bus or a ship as means of transportation depending on the destination characteristics, also adventure trips are included. Although many agencies offer different kind of trips, there is a lack of new and fresh trips. Beside these trips travel agencies in the future should offer excursions which include new opportunities.
