Aesthetic medicine is one of the fastest-growing specialties today. Modern technology opens numerous possibilities and different approaches to aesthetic procedures that become more affordable, and an increasingly large number of people get them. The purpose of aesthetic medicine is to improve a person’s self-image and quality of life, therefore the patient’s satisfaction is the measure of the success of an aesthetic procedure. Communication between the doctor of aesthetic medicine and the patient is the key part in achieving patient satisfaction, but at the same time it is the biggest challenge that this specialty faces. Radiology, as a specialty that produces image, opens up numerous possibilities that would facilitate the preoperative assessment of the patient. New technologies that are part of radiology are changing the previous communication models between doctor and patient and raising it to a higher level. This master thesis deals with several studies that describe the application of radiology for the purpose of improving aesthetic medicine.
