Stajališta trudnica, majki, studentica i zdravstvenih djelatnika o isključivom dojenju i ukupnoj duljini dojenja proučavani su pretragom MEDLINE znanstvene baze podatatka. Stručni oslonac u formiranju pozitivnih stajališta trudnica i majki prema dojenju i ukupnoj duljini dojenja čini potpora zdravstvenih djelatnika kojima treba omogućiti kontinuiranu i trajnu edukaciju.
Abstract (english) In Croatia, according to a research from 2011, the percentage of exclusively breastfeed children at aged 3 months was 44.7%, and at the age of 6 months 16.6%. The rate of breastfeeding increased with mothers age, higher education and not consume tobacco products. Despite high rates of initiation only 14% of mothers in Croatia exclusive breastfeeding up to 6 months. The attitude of pregnant women, mothers, students and health care professionals about exclusive breastfeeding and the total length of breastfeeding were studied by searching MEDLINE scientific bases of CMS. Found 49 scientific research which included 24,945 respondents, which can be divided into 5 groups: mothers (19,118), pregnant women (1691), fathers (partners) (2946), students who have not become mothers (154) and health care workers who are involved in the care of pregnant women, mothers and infants (1036) which showed mainly positive attitudes towards breastfeeding. The formation of attitudes of pregnant women and mothers to breastfeed influence: age, place of residence, employment status, environmental impact, support partners and families, education and safety of the environment in which the mother resides. Professional support in the formation of positive attitudes of pregnant women and mothers to breast-feeding and the total duration of breast-feeding support represents medical professionals who should receive continuous and continuing education. Despite the positive attitude of the respondents in this final work, it is not sufficient to achieve the targeted recommendations of the WHO and UNICEF about breastfeeding.
