Abstract | U ovom radu istraženo je biološko uklanjanje dušika i ugljika u diskontinuiranom i kontinuiranom procesu obrade otpadne vode. |
Abstract (english) | In this paper the biological removal of nitrogen and carbon in discontinuous and continuous process of wastewater treatment was investigated. Synthetic wastewater was made of with inorganic salts to obtain desired ratio of COD/N. During the processes Ntotal, NH4-N, NO3-N, NO2-N, PO4-P, COD were determined and the observations were made of pH, dissolved oxygen and temperature. For the experiments microbial culture of the activated sludge from domestic waste water treatment plant was used. Activated sludge had the ability to remove carbon and nitrogen from wastewater. The discontinuous biodegradation of waste water with KPK/NH4-N ratio of 7, 8, 11 and 13, and the continuous biodegradation of the KPK/NH4-N ratios of 8.3, 4 and 3.5 was investigated. COD removal of 18.54% and 30.3% was achieved and the rate of NH4-N removal was 6.46 mgNH4-N/Lh and 7.49 mgNH4-N/Lh at a ratio of KPK/NH4-N of 7 and 8, respectively. The removal of COD of 49.1% and 48.1%, and the removal rate of NH4-N of 4.35 and 4.82 was achieved at a ratio of KPK/NH4-N 13 and 11, respectively. In a continuous process at a ratio of KPK/NH4-N 8.3 and 4 was achieved COD removal of 74% and 69%, and removal of NH4-N 73% and 64%. At ratio KPK/NH4-N 3.5 nitrogen removal efficiency was 52.3% and 79.9% of COD. |
