Abstract
Bakterije su sveprisutni mikroorganizmi. U svojoj su prirodnoj okolini svakodnevno izložene promjenjivim okolišnim uvjetima. Da bi se prilagodile i preživjele, razvile su različite adaptivne mehanizme koji prepoznaju promjene u okolišu i pokreću odgovarajući odgovor. Bakterijska stanica može istovremeno reagirati na različite vrste stresa te su različiti odgovori na stres povezani u globalnu regulatornu mrežu. Taj kompleks mreže globalnog regulatornog sustava dovodi do koordiniranog i efektivnog odgovora. Svi odgovori na stres pritom povećavaju genetičku varijabilnost uvodeći mutacije te regulirajući enzime koji su uključeni u odgovor na stres. Mutacije su promicatelji evolucije i osobito su važne za preživljavanje bakterija u stresnim uvjetima. Odgovor na stanje stresa u bakterija proučava se za dobivanje i korištenje novih sojeva bakterija s boljim karakteristikama.
Abstract (english)
Bacteria are widespread organisms. They are continuously exsposed to stressful environmental conditions in their natural environment. Bacteria have developed various bacterial mechanisms so they can recognize changes environment and activate an appropriate stress response. A bacterial cell can react simultaneously to a wide variety of stresses and the various stress response systems interact in-conjunction by a complex of global regulatory networks. A complex network of global regulatory systems leads to a coordinated and effective response. The global stress responses include functions that increase genetic variability, by mutation and by enzymes involved in stress response. Mutations are the basic promoter of evolution and are essential for the survival of bacteria in a stressful environment. Response to bacterial stress is used for obtain and use new strain with better characteristics.
