Abstract
Cilj ovog završnog rada je pokazati važnost kiralnih molekula, odnosno enantiomera. Opisane su sličnosti i razlike enantiomernih parova te je objašnjeno zašto je toliko važno da imamo mogućnost dobiti i razdvojiti enantiomere. Metode pomoću kojih se dobivaju enantiomeri su ukratko opisane i objašnjene. Od svih tih metoda, izdvojena je i obrađena kiralna HPLC. Objašnjen je sam princip rada kiralne HPLC, ali i detaljno su opisane kiralne nepokretne faze koje i predstavljaju posebnost kiralne HPLC. Nadalje, ukratko je objašnjen i način određivanja konfiguracije enantiomera razdvojenih na ovaj način. Kraj rada uvodi u daljnji napredak i razvoj kiralne HPLC i ovakvog načina razdvajanja enantiomera.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this final work is to show the importance of chiral molecules, or enantiomers. Similarities and differences of enantiomers are described. Also, there is an explanation why is so important to separate enantiomers. Methods by which enantiomers are obtained are briefly described and explained. Of all these methods chiral HPLC is selected and elaborated. Principles of chiral HPLC are explained and chiral stationary phases are presented in details beacuse they make chiral HPLC so unique. In addition, determination of the configuration of enantiomers separated in this manner is explained. The end of the work is an introduction into the future progress and development of chiral HPLC and separation of enantiomers.
