Abstract
Kao sirovina za proizvodnju etanola koristila se osušena pulpa šećerne repe u obliku peleta i rastresitom stanju. Pulpa šećerne repe ne sadrži dovoljno fermentabilnih šećera stoga je za biotehnološku proizvodnju bioetanola pulpu potrebno predobraditi. Postupak predobrade proveden je enzimskom hidrolizom. Nakon odabira optimalne koncentracije enzima (celulaze, pektinaze i proteaze) provedena je proizvodnja etanola korištenjem kvasca Saccharomyces cerevisiae na enzimski obraĎenoj sirovini (vodena suspenzija pulpe šećerne repe). Cilj ovog rada je istražiti mogućnosti proizvodnje bioetanola fermentacijom neobraĎene i enzimski hidrolizirane pulpe šećerne repe (PŠR) s kvascem Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Abstract (english)
Dried beet pulp in the mealy and pellets form was used for the manufacture of ethanol. Sugar beet pulp does not contain enough fermentable sugars, therefore for biotechnological production of bioethanol pulp has to be pretreated. Pretreatment procedure was carried out with enzymatic hydrolysis. After selecting of the optimal concentration of enzymes (cellulase, pectinase and protease) bioethanol was produced using the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The aim of this study was to explore the possibilities of producing bioethanol from untreated and enzyme hydrolysed sugar beet pulp (SBP) with the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
