Abstract
Crohnova bolest i Ulcerozni kolitis su kronične upalne bolesti crijeva (UBC). Brojni simptomi ovih bolesti utječu na nutritivni status bolesnika te na kvalitetu njihova života. Pojava malnutricije vrlo je česta u pacijenata oboljelih od UBC. U ovom radu procjenjen je nutritivni status 45 oboljelih pacijenata, u KBC Zagreb- Rebro. Promatrali su se antropometrijski i biokemijski parameteri pacijenata te se koristila metoda Nutrition Risk Screening 2002. Biokemijski parametri su ukazali na to da je većina pacijenata u fazi smirivanja akutne upale bolesti terapijom lijekovima te da je prisutna niska razina željeza i hemoglobina u krvi. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je 55 % pacijenata koji su ušli u drugi krug Nutrition Risk Screening 2002. pothranjeni te je potrebno započeti sa nutritivnom potporom. Nutritivna potpora, ovisno o težini stanja pacijenta, uključuje enteralnu i/ili parenteralnu prehranu. Poboljšanjem stanja, započinje oralno uzimanje hrane u granicama standardne dijete. Primjenom eliminacijskih dijeta oblikuju se prehrambene preporuke te održava remisija u oboljelih od upalnih bolesti crijeva.
Abstract (english)
Crohn´s disease and Ulcerative colitis are chronic inflammantory bowel diseases (IBD). Many simptoms that present themselves with these diseases influence the nutrition status of the patients and their quality of life. Malnutrition is very common in patients with IBD. Nutrition assessment was done on 45 patients for the purpose of composition of this paper, at KBC Zagreb- Rebro. Nutrition assessment included anthropometric and biochemical parameters of patients and the usage of the Nutrition Risk Screening 2002. Research analisis of the biochemical parameters indicated that the patients were in suppresion of the acute phase due to the drug therapy and that the blood levels of most patients were very low on iron and hemoglobin. The results have shown that 55 % of the patients that have undergone the second part of the Nutrition Risk Screening 2002. are malnourished and that the initiation of nutrition support is necessary. Nutrition support, depending on the severity of the condition that a patient is in, includes enteral and/or parenteral nutrition. The oral intake of food begins when the condition of a patient enhances, within the limits of dietary recommendations for IBD patients. By the application of elimination diets dietary recommendations are adjusted to the needs of a patient and therefore enabling the reduction of likelihood of relapses.
