Abstract
U ovom radu opisani su postupci obrade otpadnih voda i zakonska regulativa prema kojoj se obraĊena otpadna voda moţe ispuštati u prirodni recipijent. Dostupan je i pregled sustava javne odvodnje prema stupnju proĉišćavanja otpadnih voda na razini Republike Hrvatske. Zbog sve veće potrebe za vodom u svijetu, razvijaju se suvremene tehnologije za obradu otpadnih voda kojima se postiţe dobra kvaliteta vode. Najviše se upotrebljavaju membranski procesi i dodatna dezinfekcija kako bi se sprijeĉile zarazne bolesti. Takva voda moţe se ponovno iskoristiti za neke druge potrebe pa tako postoje mnogi dobri primjeri u svijetu, a jedan od njih je Izrael koji svoju otpadnu vodu koristi za navodnjavanje i za industrijske potrebe. Postoje i primjeri izravne ponovne upotrebe u Singapuru i Namibiji gdje se obraĊena voda koristi za piće.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes wastewater treatment processes and the legislation regulating according to which the treated wastewater can be released into a natural recipient. There is also an overview of the public sewage system according to the degree of wastewater treatment at the level of the Republic of Croatia. Because of the growing water demand in the world, modern technology for wastewater treatment is developed to achieve good water quality. It is most used membrane processes and additional disinfection to prevent contagious diseases. This treated water can be reused for some other needs, so there are many good examples in the world, one of them is Israel which uses its wastewater for irrigation and for industrial purposes. There are also examples of direct reuse in Singapore and Namibia where water is used for drinking.
